HALESOWEN based catering engineers Network has been sold to the Airedale Group from Bradford.

Founded in 2000, Network now employs 90 engineers and carries out maintenance services for more than 60 chain customers.

Tim Church, who is founder and managing director of Network claimed: “Airedale is a second generation family run business employing over 350 people, including 200 plus service engineers.

“They have a proven track record of successful acquisitions in kitchen maintenance and really understand our industry."

The sale, for an undisclosed amount, comes after investors Rubicon Partners bought a significant stake in the Airedale Group.

Rob Bywell, who is chief executive of Airedale Group said: “Network enhances what was already an unrivalled national commercial kitchen maintenance platform. The group will employ a combined total of over 300 national service technicians."

All the existing Network management team will remain in place and will be operating the business as normal.
