A HOST of new five-star food hygiene ratings have been awarded to Dudley’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New top ratings have been issued to the following restaurants, cafes or canteens: Jimmy Macks on the Queensway, Halesowen, which was inspected on August 3; Sofi's Cafe in Castle Street, Dudley, which was inspected on July 20; and the new Starbucks coffee outlet at Sainsbury’s Amblecote in Sandringham Way, Brierley Hill, which was inspected on July 7.

Top ratings of five have also been issued to these takeaways: Bread & Butter Sandwich Shop in Stourbridge Road, Halesowen, which was inspected on August 3; and Napoli Pizzeria & Pasta at the Merry Hill shopping centre in Brierley Hill, which was inspected on July 28.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good.
