CIDER fans will be able to sample a whole host of tipples as a Halesowen sports and social club hosts a mini festival.

The cider festival at Coombs Wood Sports and Social Club, kicks off on Friday September 23 and runs until Sunday September 25.

Steward Dawn Bubb, who manages the social club in Stewarts Road, said there will be a minimum of eight different ciders as well as live entertainment and street food.

She said: “We're really pleased to be able to stage the cider festival this year.

"It is a fun event for the whole family with good ciders, food and music.

"You don't have to be a member to come along and entry is free."

The club was established in 1921 by Stewarts and Lloyds.

The festival will run from 4pm on the Friday until midnight and from noon until midnight on Saturday and from noon until stocks run out on Sunday.
