A MAN has been taken to hospital after falling off his bike in Halesowen.

Just before 11:40 am this morning (December 7) emergency services were called to the junction of Bournes Hill and Huntingtree Road after a man had fallen off his bike.

Paramedics treated him for ‘potentially serious injuries’ before he was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.

Huntingtree Road was closed whilst emergency services attended the incident and a bus service was diverted.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an incident at the junction of Bournes Hill and Huntingtree Road in Halesowen at 11.39 am.

“Two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were sent to the scene.

“On arrival, crews discovered a man had fallen off his bike.

“Crews treated him for potentially serious injuries before conveying him to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment.”
