A BID to build a nursery in the garden of a Rowley Regis home has been thrown out by council planners.
The application to build a single-storey building at the rear of the garden at 32, Bell End, as a nursery for up to ten children aged two to four, has been turned down by planners at Sandwell Council.
They said the use was "not in-keeping with the residential nature of the immediate vicinity" and was "likely to cause unacceptable levels of noise and disturbance to neighbouring residential properties."
They also said "adequate provision has not been made for the parking and manoeuvring of vehicles."
Plans were from Mr Omar Kazini Mohammad and stated the building would feature a toilet, changing facilities, a staff kitchen and a manager's office as well as space for children to play.
They said the owner/applicant would be working full time at the nursery, which would open from 8.30am till 5pm.
