Notes to planners state Mr Beasley lives in the Grade II listed house at White House Farm.

They state "the agricultural enterprises clearly require at least the equivalent of 3 full time employees.

"Currently Joseph Beasley & Sons Limited employs Ross Beasley full time, along with one other full-time employee.

"Ross Beasley is the only employee living on-site at White House Farm.

"All “out of hours” labour demands are currently met by Ross Beasley with assistance from his wife Helen when possible.

"With 40 suckler cows calving in the spring it is considered essential that skilled stockman are close at hand in order to ensure that when cows need assistance with calving that such a personnel are available to provide the essential skills required."

It goes on: "The 200 breeding ewe flock require attention throughout the year but most notably during lambing in January through until March where continuous husbandry and management is required to ensure the health and survival of both the ewes and lambs.

"At lambing it is essential to provide round-the-clock observation."

It adds: "The proposed dwelling is proportional and in keeping with delivering a workable solution to providing a second on-site employee."

The application will be considered by planners.
