A DRIVER whose view was obscured by wooden planks in the passenger seat was one of 45 motorists stopped by police at Frankley Services on the M5.
Three people were arrested for failing a roadside drugs test and six vehicles were seized for having no insurance or licence, one had been stolen in 2018.
In total over 30 offences; both road traffic and criminal were identified and dealt with.
The operation, as part of Project Edward, happened at the services near Halesowen yesterday (Friday May 19).

A police spokesman said: "One driver who was brought in to the site for having excessively tinted windows made off before officers could deal with him properly.
"He was caught up with a few junctions down the motorway and failed the roadside drugs test.
"Earlier in the day officers from Central Motorway Police Group tried to stop a van in Quinton, but the vehicle failed to stop.
"Unfortunately for the driver his route put him in between the two check sites, our Sergeant intercepted him and he soon gave up when he saw a sea of blue lights behind him."
