HIGHWAYS chiefs have issued a temporary road closure notice for the M5 junction 3 roundabout at Halesowen so urgent repairs can be carried out to the motorway bridge.

Dudley’s road traffic bosses have issued a closure order for the Manor Way junction, which will run from 8pm this evening (Friday August 4) until 4am on Saturday August 5, and from 8pm on Saturday August 5 until 4am on Sunday August 6.

Richard Milburn, senior technician, said: “The extent of the restriction will be beneath M5 junction 3 between M5 northbound entry slip road and M5 southbound exit slip road.”

All traffic will be diverted via: Manor Lane, Spies Lane, Hagley Road West (eastbound, Hagley Road West (westbound), Quinton Express Way or signed motorway diversion.

The closure has been ordered so engineers can safely carry out repairs to the underside of the motorway bridge.
