THE locations for five new early years inclusion hubs have finally been revealed by Dudley Council.

Parents of children with special educational needs have been waiting anxiously for news on where the hubs will be located after losing their fight to keep the service centralised at Leapfrog facilities at Netherton Park Primary School in Netherton.

Now, the council has confirmed locations for the new hubs which local authority bosses say will enable youngsters with additional needs and their families to access personalised, targeted and specialist interventions within their community.

The selected providers are Netherton Park Nursery School for central Dudley, Wrens Nest Primary School for north Dudley, Mind The Monkeys for Brierley Hill, Caslon Primary School for Halesowen and Hob Green Primary School for Stourbridge.

Councillor Ruth Buttery, Dudley Council's cabinet member for children’s services, said: “We are delighted to be able to confirm the five successful providers, which will enable more young children with additional needs to access more support and provision in their local community.

“Children and families continue to be supported by their current early years providers and families have been contacted to discuss transition arrangements where applicable.”

The council said it expects that children will be able to access new placements this term.
