A TEENAGER has been arrested after a boy was attacked with a knife in Oldbury.
The 16-year-old victim suffered head injuries after he was slashed with a knife in Pound Road at around 4.15pm on Friday (January 12).
Police said they arrested a 15-year-old on suspicion of wounding this morning (Tuesday January 16).
He has been taken into custody for questioning.
The road is home to secondary school Oldbury Academy.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said the victim was taken to hospital with injuries which were thankfully not life-threatening.
They added: "Knives can ruin lives and we're continuing to work with our partners to highlight the potentially fatal consequences of carrying a weapon, and take them off the streets."
