A FUNDRAISER at a Halesowen opticians raised almost £200 for an air ambulance charity, thanks to the generosity of staff and customers.
Staff at Specsavers in the Cornbow Centre donated items including designer perfume, luxury candles and chocolates to the raffle and then sold tickets to customers for a suggested donation of £1.
The total raised was £195, which has been donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance, a charity providing patients with lifesaving intervention through the operation of helicopter-led emergency medical services.
Lucky Specsavers’ customer Amanda Davis won a luxury hamper full to the brim with goodies, while more fantastic prizes were also handed out to other raffle winners.
Store director Nabil Habibullah said: ‘We would like to thank our customers for supporting our fundraiser so generously.
"We are delighted to be able to support the West Midlands Air Ambulance, which is such an incredible charity, doing amazing things in our local community."
