A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a lamp-post in Quinton earlier today (Monday April 8).
The incident happened just after 11.30am in Wolverhampton Road.
The woman is believed to have suffered a medical episode.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic to the scene after being alerted at 11.39am to reports of a crash between a car and a lamp-post.
A spokesperson for the service added: “On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated for a suspected medical episode before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
