A MAN was taken to hospital after a crash near Cradley Heath train station.
The two-car crash happened near the junction of Lower High Street and Chester Road at 9.38am this morning (Tuesday April 23).
Police were at the scene and stopped traffic. Firefighters also attended and had to cut one woman free from a car.
One man was treated at the scene for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Walsall Manor Hospital by ambulance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "Shortly before 10am on Tuesday 23 April, we responded to Lower High Street at the junction with Chester Road, Cradley Heath.
"Fire engines from Stourbridge and Haden Cross responded, both arriving within four minutes of being mobilised.
This was a collision between two cars on the road.
"A man in one car freed himself from his vehicle before our arrival.
"A woman in the other car was freed by firefighters, who used small tools to remove the side of the vehicle.
"She was handed over to paramedics for further treatment.
"The road was closed whilst we worked at the scene, but re-opened a short time later.
"Police colleagues were in attendance to arrange recovery of the vehicles.
"We left the scene at 10.54am."
