AN area of grassland in Hurst Green has been transformed into a colourful oasis thanks to a councillor and two community-spirited local firms.
Companies John F Hunt and Blackheath Products teamed up with councillor Stuart Henley to install planters and a tree to spruce up an area of grassland on Fairfield Road.
The companies which are neighbours on nearby Fairfield Park have pledged to maintain the project for the long term and hope it will benefit residents in the area.
Stuart said: "It's truly inspiring to see the original vision materialise into a vibrant reality.
"The addition of planters and the tree not only enhances the aesthetics of the area, but also reflects the collective dedication of our community-minded companies."
Blackheath Products MD Mark Murphy said: "Back in January we teamed up with our neighbouring company, John F Hunt, to improve an area of grassland located near our premises.
"We worked with a local company, Green Leevs Garden Centre, who supplied all the material, flowers and blossom tree.
"The project is now complete, it has been funded and installed by John F Hunt and Blackheath Products who are committed to maintain this project for the long term and hope that this will be a real benefit to all the residents in our local Hurst Green area.
"We would like to say a massive thank you to councillor Stuart Henley - Halesowen North Representative - who made this project possible.
"It has been great to work with him on this and we look forward to working with him on future projects."
John F Hunt and Blackheath Products are set to embark on future community-driven endeavours.
They have unveiled plans for a defibrillator station to be installed near the entrance to Fairfield Park, which will provide essential emergency response resources for residents.
The station will serve as a vital lifeline in times of need.
