TWO men have been arrested after shots were fired in Oldbury, police have said today.
The men, aged 34 and 35, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms and are in custody for questioning.
The move comes after officers were called to Grafton Road in Oldbury at around 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday June 9), following reports that shots had been fired.
The road was closed while officers worked at the scene and motorists were urged to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve arrested two men in connection with a firearm being discharged in the Oldbury area yesterday (9 June).
"Two men, aged 34 and 35, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms.
"We have not received reports of any injuries linked to the offence but our enquiries are continuing."
