POLICE have arrested a man after recovering thousands of pounds worth of stolen tools from Smethwick.
West Midlands Police were alerted to a break-in off Grove Lane during the early hours of Wednesday morning (August 14).
Officers acted on information and later arrested a 48-year-old man in the Handsworth Wood area on suspicion of burglary. He currently remains in custody.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We've recovered a range of tools - estimated to be worth thousands of pounds - and they will be returned to the rightful owner.
"We know the impact of burglary on our communities.
"Tackling this continues to be a top priority for the force, and we are determined to bring offenders to justice".
