A man has been arrested in Brierley Hill on suspicion of theft.
West Midlands Police said they arrested a 42-year-old man on Dudley Road yesterday (Thursday, July 9).
He was arrested on suspicion of theft and assault.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
The news comes after eyewitnesses reported seeing several police cars outside a supermarket in Brierley Hill.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We yesterday arrested a 42-year-old man in Dudley Road, Brierley Hill, on suspicion of theft and assault. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries."
