Vintage car show raises £280 at Halesowen nursing home

The home, which is run by Kingsley Healthcare, hosted its fourth annual Cars, Charms and Summer Magic event, bringing together classic-car exhibitors, local crafters and entertainers for a summer celebration.

Guests were able to admire the vintage cars, browse the craft stalls and enjoy live music throughout the day.

Burgers and ice creams were also on offer.

The event raised £280 for Cancer Research.

A spokesperson for Kingsley Healthcare said: “Our residents and visitors had a wonderful time admiring the beautiful vintage cars, having a mooch around the fantastic local craft stalls, and enjoying live entertainment throughout the day.

“A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help make the day so special. From those who helped organise and run the event, to our exhibitors, crafters, entertainers and everyone who came along to support us – we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

"We’re incredibly proud to have enjoyed Cars, Charms and Summer Magic for the fourth-year running, and we’re already excited to start planning something extra special for year five.

"Thank you for making it another day to remember."

Gower Gardens also has two community events planned for the coming weeks.

A Bank Holiday Party will take place from 2.30pm on Monday, August 31, with entertainment from singer Naomi.

Organisers said the events would provide further opportunities for residents and the wider community to get together and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment.
