Heartfelt tributes have been left in memory of a man who died at an aerospace firm in Redditch.

Flowers and messages have been left at the gates of Mettis Aerospace in tribute to Mark Bedford, who died on Thursday (September 10) after an incident at the site on Windsor Road.

Hundreds of kind messages have been shared on social media by colleagues and those who knew Mark, who has been remembered as an "amazing" man and a "great colleague".

His family have thanked the public for their kind messages at this difficult time.

His family said: "We appreciate the kind gestures and the comments of positivity that Mark brought to so many people."

They have kindly asked for their privacy to be respected whilst they come to terms with the unimaginable loss.

On Friday (September 11), Mettis Aerospace confirmed the death of a colleague at the site on Thursday (September 10).

Jeremy Cieslik, chief executive of Mettis Aerospace, said: "It is with deep sadness we can confirm the death of one of our colleagues on site.

"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with their family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time."
