Yeltz boss Morrell Maison expressed his satisfaction at the way his side are developing as a unit following an encouraging 3-3 draw at home to Kettering Town on Tuesday evening.

The manager was particliralrly pleased with the application shown against the full strength Blue Square Premier oufit, which included former Walsall winger Darren Wrack and ex-Yeltzman Nicky Eadon.

Town had raced into a 2-0 lead courtesy of a Dean Brennan penalty and a super strike from Mark Danks.

However, the Blue Square Premier outfit levelled matters thanks to a brace from Gareth Seddon.

Halesowen once again took the lead after a great move ended with Aaron Cornwall bundling the ball into the net.

They were to be denied victory, however, when Chris Beardsley levelled late on.

Maison said: “This was a real tough test for us because we had to show a different side to our game against a very big and strong Kettering outfit.

“I was delighted with the resolve we showed in defence and the way we got behind the ball.”
