Halesowen library visitors can delve deep into the past of natural beauty spot Kinver Edge during a series of popular local history talks.

On Wednesday December 17 famed local historian and expert on all things Kinver, David Bills MBE will be at Halesowen Library, giving another of his informative talks.

David’s talk titled ‘How Kinver got the edge’ will cover the original gifting of Kinver Edge to the National Trust in 1917, the geology of the area and historical significance during England’s civil war. There will also be information on volunteering for the National Trust as well as the origins of the Lee family who donated Kinver Edge to the nation.

The talk begins at 2.30pm in the Shenstone room at Halesowen Library with refreshments available.

Doors open at 2pm and admission is £1 per person. Anyone interested should contact the library on 01384 812982 to reserve tickets.
