EXCITING plans for the £43 million super school headed for Rowley Regis are set to go on display.

Proposals for the Rowley Learning Campus, which will be built at the former site of Rowley Regis College, will go on display at Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, between 9am and 4pm on Thursday April 30.

One of the school’s set to be replaced by the new campus, St Michael’s C of E High school, will then showcase the plans on Tuesday May 19 between 6pm and 9pm.

When complete the facility will house 1,000 pupils, with work at the site set to begin the summer. Last week Sandwell planning committee deferred making a decision on the plans until next month.

Councillor Ian Jones, Sandwell’s cabinet member for children and young people, said: “These events are being held at a variety of venues and times so the maximum amount of parents, pupils and local residents can drop in to see the plans.

“I am sure everyone will be excited to see how these new campuses will look.”
