HALESOWEN MP Sylvia Heal will visit Royal Mail’s Coombs Wood delivery office to see for herself how postmen and women in the area get Christmas sorted.
The MP will take a tour of the delivery office on Friday December 11 to see how staff deal with mountains of festive mail.
Ms Heal will make an early start in order to meet Royston Ewins, Delivery Office Manager, and some of the 131 postmen and women, who are responsible for ensuring that Coombs Wood’s massive Christmas mailbag is delivered to over 44,500 addresses at Royal Mail’s busiest time of year.
Sylvia Heal MP said: “I am looking forward to my annual visit to Coombs Wood sorting office to meet the dedicated postmen and women, I know they work hard all year round but especially during the Christmas period."
The last recommended posting date for First Class is Monday December 21.
