FOOTBALLERS and rugby players will have to keep fit by snowballing this weekend as the bad weather has hit sporting fixtures.
A Sandwell Council spokesman confirmed the decision had already been made to abandon matches on Saturday and Sunday.
He said: “Due to the weather and the heavy snow fall on Tuesday all rugby and football matches in Sandwell parks and open spaces scheduled for this weekend have been cancelled.”
