Halesowen Royal British Legion held a family fun day this weekend to celebrate Armed Forces Day.
The Legion Members Club on Hagley Road hosted the fun day on Saturday which helped raise cash for ex servicemen.
Bronya Webster, who organised the event, said: “It was a very pleasant afternoon in the sun and we have raised well over £300 for a great cause.
“We wanted to celebrate the contribution made by our armed services and we were delighted people showed their support for the veterans, the existing servicemen and the cadets who will be the next generation to do their bit for the country.”
Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP James Morris attended the event as did local councillors Bob James, Jennifer Dunn and David Vickers.
Bronya added: “We’d like to thank everyone who helped us out during the fun day and we are hoping to put on another event before Christmas.”
