QUINTON’S Jonathans hotel and restaurant is set to reopen in September nearly a year after going into administration.

The landmark hotel, on the junction of the Wolverhampton Road and Hagley Road West, will open as four-star Accor All Seasons Hotel.

For 30 years the 45 room hotel and restaurant was a magnet for the great and the good of Sandwell and the council sanctioned a new license in May.

The hotel is currently having a multi-million refurbishment and the owners have announced 25 new jobs will be created.

Shiv Kumar Sharma, who runs Brierley Hill-based hotels and property group Fortmere, is a partner in the hotel.

A Fortmere spokesman said: ““What we want to do is create a high class establishment and there are millions of pounds being spent on the purchase and redevelopment of the premises.”
