STAFF and pupils at a Halesowen school are reaching out to forge strong links with compatriots in the Yemen.
A group of Yemeni teachers visited Leasowes Community College, spending two days learning about the school, touring lessons and meeting staff and pupils.
They also toured Howley Grange Primary School and Old Park Special School as part of the project organsied by the British Council which followed a visit last year by two teachers from Dudley to the Yemen’s capital Sana’a City.
Leasowes assistant principal Paul Moran said the link was important to the school, especially as Halesowen has a large Yemeni community.
