WITH defeats piling up, players and officials leaving and crowds falling, the Yeltz Trust's Board of Directors have written an open letter to Godfrey and Graham Ingram.

Dear Godfrey and Graham,

We appreciate you have publicly stated you do not recognise the role of the Yeltz Supporters Society in any official capacity, however, the Society represents a large number of Halesowen Town supporters.

Many of these members have contacted the Society’s Directors with regard to the current situation at the Football Club and have requested we write to you to clarify certain points.

Over the past few weeks Halesowen Town Football Club has suffered nine consecutive defeats and the current players are considered by the fans as not up to the standard required to compete at this level of football.

The current Technical Director has not demonstrated the ability to coach or attract players to play for the team and has shown little knowledge of non-league football, or any experience of managing a semi-professional football club. This, alongside a lack of communication, has lead to a lot of criticism from supporters.

Some of the points requiring clarification are:

- Do you regard the Technical Director as adequate or will he be replaced?

- Do you propose to increase the spending budget to attract better players or not?

- Do you propose to allow the club to be relegated down the leagues, if so why did you take on the ownership of the club?

- Do you propose in the near future to sell the club?

- Are your plans for the football club linked in any way to the success or otherwise of The Ingram Soccer Academy?

We would appreciate your answers to these questions as we believe the Halesowen Town supporters deserve to be treated with respect whether they are Trust members or not.

We realise you may point to the lack of support through the turnstiles and from the community in general. However, this lack of support can in itself be put down to a large percentage of the fan base feeling alienated due to the club’s lack of willingness to recognise or work alongside the supporters trust they voted to have in place, coupled with a large increase in admission prices when the quality of the product has seriously reduced.

We advised that increased admission costs would reduce attendances in an e-mail to Graham on June 3.

From the outset, you were aware of the massive PR exercise required to restore public confidence following the damage done by Morell Maison and the suspicion toward your own motives given your involvement with Maison’ s regime, yet despite your attempts to distance yourselves from the previous regime, the club continues to operate in a very familiar vein.

In many people’s opinion if things remain unaltered it will be you that confines our once great club to the very coffin constructed by Maison.

Maybe now is the time to hold an open forum, where the club’s supporters can ask questions directly to yourselves and Mr Nardiello on the current plight and longer term future of our club.

I would also take the opportunity to stress that the directors of the Yeltz Supporters Society have at no point closed the door on a truly open and honest dialogue with yourselves and/or your representatives.

On behalf of the Yeltz Supporters Society Ltd The Board of Directors
