CHILDREN from Colley Lane Primary School is the first in the country to gain the St John Ambulance Schools Mark.
As well as that accolade a team of children done their school proud after winning through to a First Aid competition in London.
The team travelled down to the Natural History Museum for the National Finals after winning through at semi-finals in Bridgewater, Somerset.
The team Chole Weaver, Charlotte Baker, Isabel Alderton, Rebekah Westwood, all aged 11 came third in the competition but their reserve member Leah Swindells, aged 10, won the reserve member competition.
Teacher Elaine Bradford said: “All the girls worked really hard and the school is the first in the country to achieve the St John Ambulance Schools Mark and were awarded with the certificate at the finals.”
