The Heathfield Foundation Technology College, Sandwell, congratulated students on their impressive achievements at A Level and BTEC (Level 3) this year.

Students have achieved the equivalent of at least 3 high C grades, 98% of students achieved 2 or more A levels or equivalent qualifications with 39 students achieving A*/A and B grades.

Acting principal Phillip Weale said: “This in itself is an amazing achievement due to the continued hard of work of staff and students together with the support of parents and carers.

“Our sixth form students have yet again produced a fantastic set of results which were made possible by not only their hard work but also but the hard work and dedication of teachers as well.

“We are proud of each and everyone of them many of whom will be going on to university.”

Outstanding results included: A2 Results achieved by: Ben Harris 2 A* and 1 A grade Sawaira Sadiqa 1A*, 2A and 1 B grade Lee Simcox 3A and 1B grade Hannah Stewart 1A*, 1A and 1B grade Jonothan Brigdale 2A and 1B grade Also, by Alice Neal, a Year 10 student who achieved grade A in AS Level Chemistry, and who is currently an Open University degree in Mathematics.

Outstanding BTEC results were achieved by the following students who all achieved triple Distinctions, equivalent to AAA at A2: Reece Autie, Chelsea Dennigan, Jordan Goodridge, Sam Jones, Suraya Iqbal, Sanah Khan, Charlotte Kirby, Craig Law, Leanne Parrish, Jessica Rogers, Brett Seadon, Luke Smith, Hayden Shemilt and Mark Taylor.

Also, Tunzeela Iqbal who achieved Distinction* and Distinction in BTEC Health and Social Care.

On average approximately 70 students from the Heathfield Foundation Technology College proceed onto University each year.
