HALESOWEN Pot Leek Society is celebrating after 14 members took leeks to exhibit at their annual show.
This year’s event at The Laurels in Cradley saw some of the best leeks in the Black Country being exhibited.
The society, which meets every third Monday of the month, awarded prizes for the best branch and pot leeks.
Norman Soper, aged 70, was the pot leek winner and Mick Poultney, aged 55, was the branch leek winner and Neil Hands won the new members branch leek competition.
Club secretary Mick Poultney believes the club is in rude health.
He said: “We had a really good show with 14 of our 17 members exhibiting leeks and our new members did really well too.”
