YOUNGSTERS at a Cradley Heath school played host to some unusual classmates - an invasion of scarecrows.
Temple Meadow Primary School pupils and their families created “some amazing” scarecrows as part of their Eco activities, said headteacher Cathy Walsh.
The new straw-filled intake were showcased at the school’s harvest festival on Friday with a hamper awarded to the best scarecrow maker.
They were then placed around the grounds to keep guard over the planting carried out by the children.
