SANDWELL housing supremo Simon Hackett is looking for a new home for two paintings of local residents donated to him by artist Shaun Morris.
In 2007, with funding from Sandwell Council, local arts organisation Multistory commissioned Shaun to complete 25 portrait paintings of people that lived and worked in Sandwell in a project called Seek my Face.
After exhibiting the paintings the artist is now donating the portraits to local organisations, schools and community venues so that they can continue to be seen and enjoyed in public places.
Councillor Hackett, who went to school with Shaun, is now looking for local organisations to display the paintings.
He said: "Shaun is a great artist and I would to see his portraits on display at local venues for the whole community to enjoy."
Shaun said: "It was a two-year-long project which I thoroughly enjoyed. It gives me a great thrill to walk around the borough and see one of my portraits."
Anyone local organisation interested in having one of the paintings should ring Multistorey on 0121 533 7190.
