Hayley Green and Cradley South councillor Ken Turner has revealed his bid to stand as an MP.
Councillor Turner said this week he had mailed his application to stand for the Tory party in the next general election. He said he thought there would be an election in the next 18 months and would like to contest the Halesowen and Rowley Regis seat. He added: "I was born and raised in the constituency, if I am elected I look forward to helping all members of Halesowen and Rowley Regis."
Cllr Turner said he thought Sylvia Heal MP had done a good job in the seat and would be a tough opponent should she stand again.
