SPORTS-mad youngsters at Rowley Hall Primary School celebrated London 2012 World Sport Day by holding their own Olympic Opening Ceremony.
The children made flags, hats and posters about their class Olympic country and enjoyed food tasting sessions sampling foods from around the world.
Highlight of the day was a parade around the playground, led by class torch bearers and a flag-waving ceremony, where they sang, watched performances and celebrated different countries.
Teaching assistant Jill Armstrong said: “All the children had a great time whilst learning about the cultures and countries of the athletes competing in the Olympics.”
