A LASTING commemoration to those who fell in the First World War has been created in a corner of Halesowen.
One hundred trees, donated by the Woodland Trust, have been planted to make a bluebell wood on Rumbow to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War as part of Halesowen in Bloom.
Students from Earls High School’s history club and Dudley Council’s Green Care planted the saplings of hazel, cherry, silver birch, rowan, dogwood, hawthorn and elder at the site opposite the BB Price factory.
