DEBATES on controversial issues are to be introduced to Dudley's council chamber to show transparency and democracy.
Cross-party support was given to the motion calling for three or four sessions a year to be given over to non-partisan debates.
The motion was put to Monday’s Dudley Council meeting by UKIP councillor Dean Perks.
He quoted Dudley Hippodrome’s future and the setting up a combined local authority as examples of topical issues which could be debated.
