LONG Lane Library is holding a coffee morning for local residents following a successful appeal for people to get involved in future services.
The Friends of Long Lane Library are inviting residents to join them at an informal event on Saturday, July 18.
Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “After the successful meeting in June, the friends group decided to host another event to encourage more people to join in the discussions about their local library service.
“It is a chance for the local community to see the facilities on offer and be more involved in their library in the future.”
Tea and coffee will be provided and there will be a raffle and home-baked cakes for a small donation to raise funds for the friends group.
The library service is keen to establish groups to help at all Dudley borough libraries. To find out more call into your local library or visit www.dudley.gov.uk/libraries for contact details.
