FOUR international darts professionals will play in Woodsetton next year.

Daryl Gurney, Steve Beaton, Jamie Caven and Alan Norris will lock horns at Tungsten Hold 'Em, which will be held at Parkes Hall Social Club on February 24.

Guests at the event, in aid of Mary Stevens Hospice, will have the chance to play against some of the stars as part of a raffle, with 12 matches up for grabs on the night.

Sean Marshall, event organiser, said: “I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking far more top quality sporting events should be hosted in this area, and we were delighted when the first Tungsten Hold 'Em sold out in March, maximising the amount we were able to donate to the Mary Stevens Hospice.

"It was a fantastic evening of world class darts, so doing it again in 2018 was a no-brainer and we're delighted to continue our relationship with the social club in bringing this event back to Dudley.

"We raised more than £4,000 for this incredible cause first time round, and we'd love to donate even more next time.”

Charlotte Schofield, head of fundraising and lottery at the Oldswinford hospice, added: "Sean and his organising team are absolutely fantastic and we simply can't put into words what the atmosphere was like back in March.

"To have a world class sporting event brought to the Black Country in support of the families relying on our care really is just incredible and we're so grateful to the guys for thinking of us."

Standard standing tickets cost £20 and VIP seated tickets cost £30.
