AUTUMN activities aplenty are on offer as Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses mark the changing of the season starting this weekend.

On October 20-21, the activities kick off with Apple Weekend in the heritage orchard, where visitors will be able to try apple pressing using a traditional press.

Country crafts such as woodturning and peg-doll making will be on demonstration nearby as well, with visitors welcome to have a go.

In the lead-up to Halloween, youngsters will have the chance to make a traditional lantern - using willow, paper and fallen leaves - that they can take home.

Then on Halloween night, the venue will hold a magical lantern procession through the winding woodland paths of Kinver Edge following twinkling carved pumpkins until they reach the very top.

National Trust site Kinver Edge is open every day from dawn to dusk, while The Rock Houses and tea room are open Thursday to Sunday from 11am-4pm during school term and seven days a week during school holidays.
