DRIVERS in Gornal can expect more delays due to traffic lights on a key roundabout.

Five way signals are now in place at the Five Ways island in Lower Gornal to allow repairs to a gas main to take place.

The lights will add to the traffic woes in Gornal, as the works have coincided with the introduction of a one-way system on Ruiton Street.

The one-way system was put in place Monday (April 15) and is expected to be in operation until July.

Ruiton Street is currently only open to traffic travelling in a southbound direction towards the island.

The traffic lights will be manually operated by South Staffordshire Water between 7am and 7pm and they are expected to be in place until April 19.

Council chiefs have advised drivers to use alternative routes as disruption is expected.
