A CANNABIS farm was discovered in Dudley after fire fighters battled a blaze at a former pub.
The fire took place at a block of flats, which had previously been a pub, on Trindle Road on Saturday evening.
West Midlands Fire Service was called to the scene at 5.50pm on June 15, where 28 fire fighters attended to fight the blaze.
A spokesman from the fire service confirmed that everybody in the building was accounted for and residents were placed in temporary accommodation that evening.
He said: “We believe this fire was caused by the over-loading of the power supply and electric in the basement to serve what we believe is a cannabis farm.”
West Midlands Police confirmed that 400 cannabis plants were discovered and no arrests have yet been made.
