The roadworks began earlier this week and during the project, two lanes will be closed on Bath Road between Enville Street and the slip road onto Amblecote High Street until Friday June 28 and again from Monday July 1 to Wednesday July 3.

The slip road onto High Street, Amblecote, will also be closed off during the works with a diversion route via Enville Street, Wollaston High Street, Wollaston Road and Amblecote High Street.

Councillor Karen Shakespeare, Dudley cabinet member for environmental, highways and street services, said: "We will be looking to minimise disruption for drivers by completing these essential works outside of morning and evening rush hours.

"However, with it being such a busy road, some delays are inevitable and we would urge drivers to seek alternative routes where possible while the works are ongoing.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will strive the complete the resurfacing and get the road fully re-opened again as quickly as possible."

The work will be carried out after 9am and finish at 3.30pm to minimise disruption and access to the Bonded Warehouse will be maintained via alternative routes.
