A BRIERLEY HILL pub will be celebrating all things Black Country this weekend in aid of a very worthwhile cause.

Staff at the New Wellington pub in Brettell Lane will host a Black Country themed fun day on Saturday July 13 to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The charity's work to research and help people living with the condition is close to the staff's hearts as Leanne Cox, who works at the pub, has two sons who live with cystic fibrosis.

The fun kicks off at midday and will showcase traditional Black Country fittle including faggots and peas and a suck stall.

Entertainment will be provided by local bands, a Bhangra dance group, rodeo bull, bouncy castle and a psychic.

Adults can also enjoy an outside gin bar and a yard of ale competition.

Sammy Wright, a barmaid at the pub who organised the event, said: "It will be a fun filled day for all ages."
