A HALESOWEN man admitted stealing over £400 worth of clothes from Merry Hill and six tubs of baby milk from Wilkinsons.

Marcus Henry, aged 28, of Parkside Road, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to stealing £410 worth of clothes from JD Sports in Merry Hill. He also admitted stealing six tubs of baby milk worth £48 from Wilkinsons in Stourbridge and also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. He received a community order and was fined £100. He was also ordered to pay an £85 surcharge and compensation totalling £458.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates' Court last week.

David Evans, aged 22, of Gloucester Road, Netherton, pleaded guilty to causing £100 worth of unlawful damage to meat belonging to One Stop. He also admitted failing to surrender to magistrates' court having been released on bail. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £50 in compensation and a £21 surcharge.

Raymond Perry, aged 58, of Marigold Crescent, Dudley, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated harassment towards a police constable. He also admitted to driving while over the legal alcohol limit. He received a community order and was fined £249 and was ordered to pay £100 in compensation and an £85 surcharge. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months.

Lee Medley, aged 33, of Moorlands Court, Rowley Regis, pleaded guilty to causing a police constable harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. He received a community order and was ordered to pay compensation, surcharge and costs totalling £335.

Daniel Potter, aged 29, of Broadway, Stourbridge, pleaded guilty to stealing £40 of meat from Tesco and admitted assault by beating. He received a four week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £310 in compensation, surcharge and costs.

Jack Powers, aged 26, of Laurel Lane, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to failing to attend a drugs assessment. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge and £135 costs.

Andrew Taylor, aged 62, of Thorton Drive, Brierley Hill, pleaded guilty to driving while over the legal alcohol limit. He was fined £553 and was also ordered to pay a £55 surcharge and £135 costs. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 24 months.
