A DUDLEY man has been hit with a fine after admitting to assaulting an emergency worker.

David Hooper, aged 25, of Spring Meadow, Dudley, pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker. He was fined £400, ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £40 surcharge, and £185 costs at Dudley Magistrates' Court.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates' Court last week.

Michala Price, aged 39, of Waldron Avenue, Brierley Hill, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. She received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £200 in compensation, a £20 surcharge and £135 costs.

James Nutting, aged 23, of Hartlebury Road, Oldbury, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. He also admitted assaulting a police constable and interfering with a vehicle. He was jailed for 14 weeks due to a record of previous offending. He was also ordered to pay a £122 surcharge.

Nicola Findlay, aged 40, of Merridale Street West, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to stealing £66.55 worth of goods from Wilko in Dudley. She received a two year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £156.

Ryan Harlow, aged 23, of Hillside Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to causing £500 of damage to a mobile phone without lawful excuse. He was fined £140 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £135 costs.

John Faure, aged 54, of McKean Road, Oldbury, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour to cause distress. He was also found guilty of assaulting a police constable. He also admitted driving a vehicle while disqualified from holding a driving licence and driving without insurance. He was ordered to pay compensation, and a surcharge totalling £265.

Lloyd Deegan, aged 33, of Leg Street, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to driving on Buffery Road in Dudley while disqualified from holding a licence and without insurance. He received a community order and was ordered to pay a £90 surcharge and £135 costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 18 months.

Ashok Badhan, pleaded guilty to driving while over the legal alcohol limit. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay a £42 surcharge. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

Luke Cheshire, aged 31, of Baggs Road, Oldbury, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and failing to attend a drugs assessment. He was ordered to a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £417.
