THE Red House Glass Cone will showcase a host of classic cars this weekend.

The Black Country Classic Car Club is set to bring 20 classic vehicles to the Wordsley attraction on Sunday, September 22.

Vehicles lined up to appear include a 1961 Austin Cambridge, a Ford Consul Capri from 1962, a Ford Cortina 1600E from 1968, a 1972 Triumph TR6 plus cars from the 80’s and 90’s.

Members of the group will be on site to talk about their cars, while the cone’s hot glass studio and the cone’s studios will be open for business.

Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said: "Last year’s display by the Black Country Classic Car Club went down really well - members of the group are friendly and well-informed and happy to answer any questions visitors may have about their prized vehicles.

"With the craft studios also open for business, a free children’s trail and glassblowing demonstrations throughout the day, this is a fun day out for all the family."

The car cub meets fortnightly at at The Old Swan (Ma Pardoes) in Netherton and new members are welcome.
