A FLOOD alert is in place in parts of the Black Country and South Staffordshire.
River levels have surged and are expected to rise further in the Stourbridge and Stourton river gauges following heavy overnight rainfall.
Parts of Wall Heath, Kingswinford and Himley are likely to be affected.
Flooding of roads and farmland is expected later this afternoon and Friday morning (November 15), according to the Environment Agency.
Drivers are advised to avoid low lying roads near rivers.
