STOURBRIDGE'S A Comedy Theatre Group is getting set to present its own take on traditional Christmas pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

The show, written by Laura Liptrott and directed by her dad Phill Liptrott, tells the story of Princess Rose who falls asleep in 1099 and awakens 900 years later in the year 2019.

Featuring a multitude of colourful characters, heroes to cheer and a villain to boo, plus songs and jokes - the play follows Rose as she attempts to travel back in time to find her true love.

It will run at Gig Mill Church Hall, Witton Street, Stourbridge, on Friday December 13, starting at 7pm, and on Saturday December 14, with shows starting at 2pm and 7pm.
