THE line-up for Stourbridge Comedy Festival has been revealed.

Top TV comics Hal Cruttenden, Simon Evans, Shappi Khorsandi and Rhys James will headline shows at Katie Fitzgerald’s in May.

Cruttenden, who is a regular on Have I Got News For You, will open the four-day festival on Thursday, May 7.

Evans, who has also appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and is a BBC Radio 4 regular, tops the bill the following night, while former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant Khorsandi headlines on Saturday May 9.

Mock The Week regular Rhys James will close the festival on Sunday, May 9.

The festival is being organised by Funny Beeseness, who run regular comedy nights at the popular venue in Wollaston.

Previous festivals have seen the likes of Reginald D Hunter, Gary Delaney and Paul Sinha take to the stage.

Dudley comic Wayne Beese, who hosts the event, said: “We’re absolutely over the moon with this line-up.

“I believe pound for pound it’s the strongest festival line-up we’ve had yet.

“We’ve got four top headliners who will be familiar faces to people off the telly but we’ve also invested more budget into the support acts this year, so there’s a really, really strong bill with three fantastic acts on every night.

“It’s always a great atmosphere for these shows so we’d urge people to come along and support it, you’ll be guaranteed a great night out.”

Tickets are on sale now at the Funny Beeseness website.
